Personally, I would rather have the unnoticeably slower speed since it gives me all of these benefits

The speed of this drive is pretty decent and works great for me for my bulk storage

Knowing that I just needed a mass storage, speed wasn't a concern.

It has run great, good speeds, no hiccups for almost a year now

Great storage but loads slow and only on this drive will my loading ever freeze

this is my 3rd green WD drive and so far no complaints.

They trust WD to keep several Tera Bytes of their confidential information.

I ran /D to disable parking on this hard drive and I noticed very slow transfer rates, I first thought it was a defective

This disk is VERY quiet and a pretty good level of performance when connected to USB 3.0.

Quite ridiculous, never had hard disk fail on me that quickly, and they were used in a RAID system, horrible situation when you lose your data like this,

This disk in my Synology box is great because although that is several years old and only has 1 disk, I simply keep an external drive plugged in as secondary backup - keep a third attached to a Banana Pi, and yes, a forth copy work.

The SSD could be used as a boot and application drive to increase boot-up and load times, and the hard disk drive could be used as the mass storage device

Unlike Western Digital or Seagate these companies do not specialize in manufacturing hard disk drives and their after market service is not that good

Replaced a 3 year old worn out Seagate and gained 250gb

Easy to install with the data bank, do NOT us the Seagate hard drive it is a waste of money, you don't need to format this or anything, slap it into the data bank and reinstall from a flash drive (fat32 & over 1GB) and you will have an upgraded system.

I was lucky one of my computers can handle the 4 tb hard drive

Upon finishing about 2.5 TB worth of transfer I decided to do a windows update and shut down the system

However, every time I tried to format, Windows showed that I had only 1.67 TB available.

I dropped this drive in and booted it up, worked perfectly, all 3 "TB".

This 2 TB hard drive gives you 4 times the space to record things

Upon downloading and running the diagnostic tool the drive failed the Quick Test and Extended Test.

It still showed up, but i couldn't format it and using WD diagnosis tool, it failed all the tests

All three will fail the test, then the next time all of them will pass the smart test.

Had it installed a week ago & what a difference....had a 1.6 GB hard drive that crashed & now with the new 1T hard drive

Deceptive product, they hide that it is a desktop hard drive NOT a laptop hard drive and then charged me for return shipping.

Of the two western digital products that have failed, one of which was an external desktop hard drive carried around in a college book bag so it was probably a well earned death, it kept kicking just long enough to let me get all my data off
