  • Not only do you save $$$, you really gain a deeper insight into how your guns work and function
  • kit is great for minor gun work... putting sights on ETC ETC
  • I'm sorry it did not work out, the set looked nice, but is just too soft for gun work.
  • Cheap in price but has punches and hammer geared towards gun work.

Reviews around price (4.82 of 5)

  • Price was good, but like other reviewers have reported, the brass punches must be used with care or will deform.
  • I still think it's a great kit, has multiple of some (the more common size) punches and the hammer is great with one side plastic and one metal, great for any punch needs and a great price on it.

  • It's a great price and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
  • Beyond that it's a good set, it works for it's intended purpose at a reasonable price.

Reviews around product (4.65 of 5)

  • I've seen reviews of this product showing bent punches, but I'd be willing to bet they didn't have much mechanical experience
  • This is the worst product I've ever bought as soon as I used the punches to remove a pin from an A2 sight on a rifle they didn't hold up and bent
  • This is a an inexpensive product that does its job well.
  • Works great on my ar15 builds , haven't bent any of the punches in 5 gun builds so far , so great product so far .
  • Serve the purpose well, I found the mallet a little lacking though, overall a well made product!

Reviews around item (4.45 of 5)

  • It wouldn't be possible for the items to be damaged via transit as they are in a hard plastic case, so they came damaged from the factory
  • Good quality item, with multiple punches, with good sizing selection.
  • Now this item was a surprise and it surpasses my requirements.
  • The case that holds the items is sturdy and holds items tight.

  • It's a great time to learn some basic gunsmithing, and this is a great kit to do it with
  • It’s a cheap kit, I already broke a couple of pieces while doing some simple tinkering with a few of my pistols
  • Overall this is a decent cheap kit if you don’t mind parts of it being useless.

Reviews around tool (4.18 of 5)

  • This was a great purchase as brass punches are tools that I regularly need for my amateur home-smithing
  • It makes a great tool for driving pins, drifting sights, at the shooting range or on your workbench
  • These punches are a perfect tool for doing your own gun smithing
  • The punches are tooled very well, and I've never had an issue with them
  • What can I say other than Wheeler makes some of the best tools for personal

Reviews around quality (4.02 of 5)

  • I know these are brass, but it feels like poor quality brass as I have other punches/hammers that did not fall apart quite as fast.
  • Overall this is a quality product that I recommend if you need a good set of punches.
  • The one issue that plagues us is the quality of the punches
  • Never used it yet but the punches seem to be well made and good quality.
  • you're better off getting this slightly more expensive set, than a discount, vinyl-rolled, Harbor-Freight-quality one of dubious / indifferent quality

Reviews around hammer (3.73 of 5)

  • The hammer is great and the punches are solid and work great
  • It can be difficult to get the hammer and punches out of the thermo formed tray/ holder.
  • You need a pry bar to remove the punches and the hammer is a Pain to remove!
  • Nice to have all these punches and two-faced hammer all in one place and in a fitted case
  • Overall, pretty good hammer and punch set but the punches I needed the most were not straight.

  • Plus this set comes with a good sturdy case and its very organized and neat
  • I also love that it comes in a hard case to keep everything nice and handy and organized
  • When I placed the order these punches were advertised with a nice wooden case but delivered in this cheap plastic case
  • It wouldn't be possible for the items to be damaged via transit as they are in a hard plastic case, so they came damaged from the factory

  • I bought these because I needed punches for a rifle build and the small pins I was trying to punch in destroyed the punches.
  • The hammer is great and the punches are solid and work great
  • Furthermore, then 1/8" punch bent and broke the first time I used it.
  • I broke the two plastic punches and bent a couple of brass punches on a sight removal

Reviews around time (1.95 of 5)

  • It's a great time to learn some basic gunsmithing, and this is a great kit to do it with
  • The first time I used it, the polymer side of the hammer broke off
  • Do not waste your time with this and spend the money on a good set.
  • Tips got chewed up first time used, decent for the price but not the best quality
  • I've used my little punch set idk how many times since I've bout it and its holding up great I'd recommend it to anyone who does gun smithing.

Reviews around bite (1.69 of 5)

  • Maybe I'm a bit rough on my tools, but a hammer is made to be rough on
  • Some tools are a wee bit difficult to get out of the case but again nothing to be concerned with.
  • My only complain is that some of the punches are a bit hard to remove from their
  • Metal punches are a bit soft and easily bend but would not expect Snap On quality for this price
  • Wow I used the 1/8 bit today

Reviews around sight (1.63 of 5)

  • Pretty pleased with the brass punches, changed out sights on a S&W Shield with these and they worked
  • Used 20.oz hammer and 1/4 inch brass punch to remove sights which were very tight but punch did not bend or mar sight
  • These punches did work for floating the sights on my pistol
  • Made removal of my factory sight easy and installing my new sights a simple chore.
  • Like other reviewers, replacing a front/rear sight on a 10/22 and broke off and bent 3 of the brass punches

Reviews around pin (1.38 of 5)

  • I've knocked some tough pins out of place with this thing without feeling at all like I'd need to reach for something bigger
  • So far, I've used this set to detail-strip my Zastava M57 (Tokarev) and punch out stubborn pins on sporting rifles, as well as doing some work on an MP5 clone
  • Punches seem decent but the hammer is small only measuring 7 inches long but should drive out all but the toughest pins.
  • So I got this primarily to use on my firearms but have also used it on trying to punch out a rusty cotter pin out of a ball joint
  • Excellent punch set and hammer, worked great for knocking the pins out of my AR-15 upper receiver and AK-47 bolt, as well as disassembling my Glock handguns.

Reviews around couple (1.00 of 5)

  • I’m not a gun smith, but this is great for small DIY gun projects, like I just put a RMR on my FN 5.7...Had to knock out a couple of pins....paid for itself first use.
  • A couple of the punches are specifically undersized, which is needed to get into standard size holes.
  • It’s a cheap kit, I already broke a couple of pieces while doing some simple tinkering with a few of my pistols
