Besides the protection and assurance provided during the normal churn of local driving, I travel frequently and rent and drive myself both nationally around the USA, and Internationally in countries such as Thailand where you really need protection due to the many hazards such as motor bikes and bad drivers.

I drive for a living, and it will hopefully help I.D. bad drivers if they cause an accident down the road.

All in all it was a minor fender bender in which the other person certainly should have gotten a ticket, instead, the officer gave me the ticket saying that the other driver had the right-of-way

UPDATE October 2018: I watched an Iron Man athlete almost get killed by a reckless driver right in front of me and pass several cars on yellow double solid lines.
