In my quest to find the perfect sized tracker-I decided on whistle-best reviews and a titch bigger than my Apple Watch which was my “if all else fails” solution

So then I purchased the Whistle 3.First impressions were that it was small and light, with a very secure adjustable clip to attach it to a collar or harness.

This unit is a great idea, and it did actually help us track down our beagle the one time he’s run away since we purchased it

and we didn’t have any idea if ATT would work

The setup is straightforward enough, but that's all the pros I can say about this thing

We originally purchased the Link AKC Smart Dog Collar, which is heavy bulky

so it doesn't look like your dog is escaping when you take them on a walk

The Whistle 3 supports multiple dog/cat owners unlike the Link AKC, which will only allow one phone to be linked for it to operate properly

The Link AKC Smart Dog Collar didn't work over the cell network and their support team weren't able to fix it (and were pretty unhelpful) suggesting that it was actually working at one point when it clearly wasn't showing any tracking information outside our house

The wind has blown the gate open 3 separate occasions and 3 times our dog got loose

Only thing I'd like to see other than better battery life, 4 days is decent but more is always better

The battery life is way too short to be reasonable as a tracking device ~1.5 days even with 90% of time spent within home Wifi range

If we forget to recharge it overnight then we will lose coverage the next day

The description advertises up to 7 days one charge, so we figured we'd get a good five days out of one charge.

We easily created the boundary with the app where the cat would be safe and when the cat goes outside that, we get an alert, we can track her path and location and we have found her easily every time!

The Whistle GPS pet tracker is so easy to use, and it lets me know how much battery life it has, when it is getting low, and, when it's on the charger, it lets me know when it's fully charged.

Great battery life - durable - and gives you peace of mind knowing that it is an actual GPS.

Battery life is excellent if your pet stays in his zone

The one downside we've noticed is the battery life - it never makes it past 72 hours.

Update, after reconsideration by Whistle, they refunded me the unused portion of the service year.
