Uniden!I picked up a Whistler TRX-2 about 2 weeks ago and can say the BCD536HP was the better choice thus far.

If you are planning on going mobile, the TRX-2 would be the more appropriate choice for digital scanner radio.

nice unit,but it has problems.loves to give error messages.using a sd card to run from has big limits.if not inserted correctly,scanner will not scan.if scanner loses power.you will get a error message if the scanner cannot start.every time it is turned on,it must go through a booting setup.uniden scanners do not have this problem.it is nice that you do not need any new programs for it.but if i had a chance to test it

There is no question that overall this is a great product, and the digital quality is better than the Uniden Flagship models in some respects.

The positives: Whistler provides frequent free updates to the radio firmware and the programming software and is easily downloaded

The added NXDN update is a bonus too.

It's an annoying radio to operate compared to the Uniden, even the new BCD436HP I picked up recently.

I'm very pleased with the performance, the included programming software and especially the continued firmware upgrade process that will keep this radio fresh for years
