Whistler XTR-130 Laser Radar Detector: 360 Degree Protection, Icon Display, and Tone Alerts

    • Good detector...
    • Price aside, this is hands-down the best radar detector I've ever used
    • I'm thoroughly satisfied and highly recommend this radar/laser detector to anyone.
    • Nice Radar detector, works fine
    • this is the best radar detector I have ever owned
    • very good radar detector for under $
    • It's a really great radar detector.
    • This detector is not as sensitive as my Bel 965.
    • This is an excellent radar/laser detector.
    • proper detector.
    • I got this detector for my boyfriend, and he really likes it, he said it mostly always tells him when there are cops. unless they don't have a radar on and it is loud enough to hear over your music
    • I really love this radar detector
    • For being one of the cheapest functioning radar detectors out there, it does the job
    • Overall, this is an excellent radar detector for its price, and I am planning on buying another one for my other car.
    • We saw cops four times during this road trip setting up speed traps and EVERY SINGLE TIME his detector would pick up their signal and this detector would be completely silent
    • I recommend it to people who want a good detector without having to spend a lot of money.
    • Ill keep it as a precaution since I don't speed so there is no point buying a more expensive/better detector.
    • This detector works better than my detector that cost over twice as much.
    • I've had better detectors but this one is without a doubt, the worst one I have owned
    • The Whislter XTR-265 is a no frills but comprehensive radar/laser detector.
    • terrible radar detector this thing never goes off until somethings 4 feeet in front of you.
    • Have used this for about a month and it seems to do the job....did a good amount or research before I bought...this is a good "low cost" detector that performs just fine
    • I would imagine a $500 detector has ways of learning and therefore alarms less, but you still have to teach it
    • This detector was unable to detect any signals from police vehicles, even when I crossed them on the street
    • Great radar detector!!
    • Obviously not a Valentine One or Passport detector but will work for your average commuter.
    • Not a good detector.
    • This will not be the best radar detector out there but well worth the cost.
    • Really nice detector, expect it beeps all the time
    • Decent radar detector, but I'm not too impressed with the distance, my older radar has better distance.
    • With collision avoidance radar standard on many new cars, my previous detector false alarmed constantly.
    • If you like beeps instead of voices talking at you, this is the best detector out there.
    • Good detector, but a bit overly sensitive.
    • Great radar detector
    • Crappy detector
    • Great detector
    • I wanted an inexpensive radar detector for my son to take on drives to and from college.
    • Also the radar detection meter which is 3 bars doesn't provide to much discernment of distance although its better then not having one at all average radar detector good for basic all around protection at a good price
    • Nothing is going to trump common sense in your search for a inexpensive detector
    • Otherwise, this detector is outstanding.
    • But look at reviews of other, more expensive detectors and try to find a perfect one.3
    • Invest in a more expensive radar detector around $150+ that will pick up KA band from at least 2-4 miles
    • Ill keep it as a precaution since I don't speed so there is no point buying a more expensive/better detector.
    • This is a good radar detector for the money
    • Great Radar Detector
    • For $40 it is a good detector, lot of false alarms tho make sure it's in city mode when your in the city highway mode works fine
    • I was actually doubting this detector at first since many people claim that radar detectors do not work at all
    • This is a nice unit and it does what it is supposed to do; I would recommend this unit to those looking for a good radar detector at a good price.
    • It's a really great intro detector
    • If you happen live in Central Florida, be sure to pay attention to all K and Ka alerts as those are the bands the cops use!I definitely recommend this radar detector.
    • glad I didn't purchase the more expensive detectors
    • A good basic detector.
    • I would recommend this radar detector to anyone.
    • This is a good lazar/radar detector for a low price.
    • I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RADAR DETECTOR.
    • I love this radar detector, it has settings where you can turn it off in high volume areas, the volume control is easy to get to and since I wear hearing aids, I can hear it really well.
    • Now of course, to make a truly scientific outcomes conclusion, a lot more events are needed and maybe my detector is just defective
    • Great radar detector.
    • Great inexpensive Radar Detector! Saves me from getting tickets in those school photo enforcement zones.
    • This is a great Radar Detector, and I love that it shuts itself
    • For the price, this detector works great...
    • So my detector doesn't really have to work that hard at distinguishing alarms and doors openers from the real McCoy.
    • Listen, the deal with inexpensive radar detectors is they are sensitive to many rogue signals and don't have much in filtering true threat.
    • I think what separates the cheap versus expensive detectors is their abilities to detect turned-off radar guns...just a guess.
    • The indicators are very easily read and it is a solid detector.
    • Some of the comments saying it is a terrible detector I think are a little wrong
    • This detector is JUNK!
    • Thanks for making an affordable radar detector.
    • This detector works well for the price.
    • Great detector for the money
    • I think this is a great detector for anyone who has never had one
    • I think it's a pretty good radar detector, but laser detecting
    • While it works fine, and accurately detects all the different types of radar and laser systems used by my local law enforcement, my old detector also voiced what type of signal it was intercepting
    • Very reliable radar detector.
    • Do not getrip off with expensive detectors.
    • PROS: no frills, solid detector with decent sensitivity/range, only modest false-alarmingCONS: unless on sale, better value can be found elsewhere in the Whistler lineupThis XTR-145 is a no-frills, good quality detector.
    • This is a great little radar detector and has saved me from a ticket multiple times!!
    • , you now could park up inside the seven eleven and it would lie dormant - Also - you will have the cheapest non-sticking suction cups that are too weak to hold the unit on the windshield - they were constantly coming loose or hanging from one side and making the detector look stupid - also RADAR is way more advanced now - this would be an amazing detector if it was 1980 - but I would spend more and get me a better one with more range and detection types
    • Very good and reliable radar detector

    • Always wanted a nice detector and this one is perfect and price is the best
    • After trying this model out for several weeks I have come to the conclusion that it would make a decent backup/spare detector
    • Was a great radar detector but after a year and a half this thing has a mind of its on decides when it want to play sound when it goes off.
    • At first, I wanted to return it, but after some homework, this thing has saved my behind AT LEAST twice a day, if your reading this and want a cheap radar detector, This is the way to go
    • Great radar detector for the price.
    • good detector for the money
    • Just how much and how soon are you willing to pay to avoid the annoyance of false alarms created by an obsolete technology in the a once-super radar detector
    • Inexpensive detector that seems to pick up most of the same signals that my other detector picks up.
    • This reasonably priced detector fulfills my needs.
    • Alerts you, just of course, distance is always going to be an issue with a cheaper detector
