Whistler XTR-130 Laser Radar Detector: 360 Degree Protection, Icon Display, and Tone Alerts

    • I don't drive super fast, I tend to drive between 10-15 mph above the speed limit
    • But for those who speed 5-10 MPH over the limit and like useful gadgets, this fits the bill
    • THE SPEED LIMIT IS 40 MPH
    • Finally, after my wife's last ticket when she did the trip solo without using it and my "reckless" 31 mph capture by the local cops, I pulled the stops out on the wireless one and "sprung" the cash for the under-$40 current version of my old Whistler, just to make sure I had the latest in proven technology
    • Works very well, a great buy for someone who typically rides 5-10mph above the speed limit
    • 1000 miles in that trip, countless cops, and no tickets!Pros:-Sensitive-good amount of warning to slow down 10mph or so.-dim/dark is a great feature so that your vehicle doesn't light up like a x-mas tree at night.-easy setup-
    • A really useful way to describe it as I've seen in other reviews is that this detector would suit drives who are maybe 5 to 10km/h above the speed limit
    • The "H" for highway mode isn't always easy to see in direct sunlight with sunglasses on, but that's not a big deal.
    • The only problem I am having is the LED display over to the right where the signal strength numbers and city/highway display is, has a couple of segments that keep going on and off like H for highway will often show as h, upper right segment out same situation with the numbers
