So far this device has easily resolved my issue for less then $50.

I have the device in an outlet above the router on the first floor and it works great there

if you feel you can overcome the issues with a continual, reliable connection, I think this device could work very well for you

Running this with the split channel router and both 2.4 and 5g devices are boosted simultaneously in the back rooms nicely.
