I realized that the force of pulling the rubber legs of this item in and out of the air vent, led to the rubber being stripped away and revealed sharp metal

Can't return it because the sticky metal fell off my phones and couldn't find it

The rubber part broke and the metal inside scratched the vent in my car

It comes with a neat little metal plate that sits inside your phone case nicely

Turns out the metal had been scratching my air vent and now there's the damage

I liked it until I discovered the metal wore through the rubber and scratched up my vents

The metal broke through the material and has been scratching my car unbeknownst to me until I took it off fully one day

Underneath the rubber, there are sharp metal prongs, which ultimately led to the deep scratches on my air vent

Was a good product until the rubber prongs tear away and then the metal inside is scratching up the vents of your first brand new car.

I could definitely put the sticky metal plate on the outside and it would be better, but I'm not there yet

The only issue I had with the vent clip is, when using the smaller clip part, the metal from the clip came out of the rubber and scratched the vents.

Over the weeks the rubber were you clip to the air vents in the car started wearing out from use.. so the metal inside has made scratches on the plastic of the air vents but the magnet is strong just that I had to keep repositioning b/c my vents would keep moving from the weight of my phone

Then, the rubber strips at the end got torn off, revealing metal bones, which eventually scratched off my air vents

For the ones who have a wallet type phone case (where 2-3 cards are hidden inside the back of the case thru a little slide out compartment), installing the metal plate onto the popsocket helped my cards stay protected as they are not too close to the magnet

so I can see my gps, as well as at home) and most just flat out suck.

The magnet is really strong and the phone doesn't fall as with other magnetic mounts

The grip it had on the ac vent is not as strong as before
