Write Dudes have produced a truly fine product and a great value
I assumed they would be trash pencils, both because the graphic art is cheezy and because they were inexpensive products from America (it costs a lot to make things in America, so I imagined that cheap stuff from America would be REALLY cheap), but was pleasantly surprised that they were really good, at least for a student.
You get an excellent product and you get to feel good about it.
Finally I ordered, on Amazon the Ticonderoga Pencils and thought they didn't strike me as the greatest pencils, they at least didn't break on sharpening, though I noticed they don't sharpen to a fine point and the wood isn't of the best quality, the eraser is not great either
Great pencils and the point doesn't constantly break like on many pencils.
The tips don't sharpen too a fine point, but they write just fine & don't break
They use a nice cedar wood, the lead sharpens to a fine point and it doesn't break off
They are high quality, sharpen to a nice point and feel good in the hand.
Nice cedar wood, smooth lead, and the erasers actually work

I thought I was getting something special, maybe cedar pencils that smelled like cedar
In my opinion, these Write Dudes USA Gold Premium Cedar pencils are some of the finest pencils I've ever used, as dull as it may make me seem to say such a thing
These actually do write smooth, sharpen well, and have a slightly better tonal (darker) value than cheapo pencils

These are a great value, write smooth, sharpen easily, and look like the classic #2

You can SMELL the wood without even opening up the package
Well made these pencils are life savers I got so tired of using those stupid ones made from some kind of poor quality wood that every time you sharpen it the wood brakes apart and the point falls out.
These have strong wood and work well with my Exacto pencil sharpener.

Eraser is a little stiff (my only complaint) but this pencil rocks.
The lead is kind of waxy and hard, the finish is sticky, the erasers are scratchy
The eraser is weird and the lead breaks every time I sharpen it.
These have the worst eraser I have used on any wood pencil

Other pencils I’ve used, the lead will break throughout the entire pencil and no amount of sharpening will give me a tip I can continue to use
At least half of the pencils in the package are useless because as I sharpen them the lead breaks off and falls out and the whole pencil sharpens into a pile of shavings with NO useable point
The lead doesn't break while your resharpening in electric sharpner.
They use a nice cedar wood, the lead sharpens to a fine point and it doesn't break off
The lead doesn't break and they sharpen well by myself or students in both types of sharpeners found in my classroom.
