This along with a variable 10 ohm resistor and the required test equipment produced some rather impressive reading for a device that is very reasonably priced.

Also interesting to me was how certain charging cubes would put out a good reading when no cable was attached, but when any cable was attached, reading went way down

Gives you an accurate reading of power consumption--especially if using short, quality cords.

Nevertheless, I recommend this X DRAGON USB Tester because it is clearly visible and the measurements are accurate.

I have also found that some inexpensive or old or invisibly damaged usb charger cords really stem the current flow
