Reviews around version (5.00 of 5)

  • X-Plane11 has a FAA approved version also
  • It is an improvement over previous versions, more user friendly, expandable

Reviews around graphic (5.00 of 5)

  • The scenery graphics are quite good and the cockpit graphics are somewhat good; but the functionality of the individual airplanes as far a real-world systems operations is sub-par
  • Gameboy users just want realistic graphics, but serious users want usability.

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • Seems like someone could do a better job of picking up where the old flight sims left off and produce one that reflected reality.

Reviews around system (3.22 of 5)

  • Due to a slow DSL system I bought the DVD version on 04/17/2017.
  • This sim needs a very fast system to work right
  • The frame rates are real bad at times even with a fast system that plays all other games fine

Reviews around program (2.94 of 5)

  • Run ok for a while than program start to crash
  • Frankly, this program sucks.
  • The program may work in some aircraft where the settings can cover up for the lack of precision in the basic program, but the problems show up in tailwheel and sport aircraft where control Inputs and responses need to be precise. .
  • Excellent program
  • Bottom line: if you're doing IFR training, this program is extremely useful for developing core instrument skills, especially the scan, radial intercepts, and VOR tracking

More about X-Plane 11

  • The 11th edition of X-Plane offers a much more realistic and immersive experience
  • A new rendering engine makes the whole world appear in a new light – literally
  • Due to “Physically Based Rendering”, illumination and reflections behave in physically correct ways and change depending on viewing angle and the object’s surface
  • This technique works dynamically which means that graphical effects no longer have to be prerendered
  • It was also developed with very good performance in mind
  • Furthermore, X-Plane 11 features a brand new sound engine that realizes 3D surround sound with high quality samples
  • This works on a global scale resulting in spatially correct audio placement of any aircraft and any object within the scenery while also taking the current location of the user into account
  • The sound engine is fully usable and extendable by third-party add-ons
  • The content of X-Plane 11 is also considerably expanded
  • Numerous new aircraft with 3D cockpits and extensive documentation are available to the virtual pilot; add to that more than 3000 airports with 3D buildings, static aircraft and dynamic environments
  • The global scenery sees new cities specific to Europe and North America and an update to its overall layout based on recent Open Street Map material
  • In the completely redesigned user interface, the control setup, aircraft, airports and weather options are now presented with a visual preview which makes editing them a breeze
  • The simulator can now be controlled much more intuitively thanks to this well thought-out menu structure
  • Considering all this, X-Plane 11 is the most modern flight simulator – still a simulation, but closer to reality than ever before!
