The game is a lot of fun even in solo mode, but it really shines as a cooperative party game
It's also a GREAT party game as you can switch people out in the band and the music is GREAT - in my opinion the songs on rockband are far better than the ones included in guitar hero.
First I feel compelled to comment that this game is amazing.
I highly recommend this game for a fun time with family and friends.

I got this because I already had a guitar from Guitar Hero 3 and the Rock Band disc, and since I was having so much fun with the Rock Band game I thought I would get the drums too
They work perfectly with ALL Rockband and All Guitar Hero games that I know of.

Yep, I been beating the living daylights out of these drums and they work great for both Rock Band and Guitar Hero
I have used the Rock Band guitar, and it is nothing special if you already have two Guitar Hero guitars.
Never used, right out of the box :( Ended up making it work as I hot glued the plastic pieces together, but shouldn't have to fix an eighty dollar controller right out of the box.
For those talking of drums breaking, easily take it apart by pushing in bottom rubbers, detach, drum pad, super glue crack, should work perfect, and if you are a real drummer you should ha e a third party metal pedal, especially for me, on expert.

It had some other minor issues as well, such as the stand's inability to hold the drumkit up for long periods of time and the fact that the entire kit was covered in some kind of white dust upon arrival

quality and durabilty are very good and my nieces and nephews will be playing with these for a long time.
The drum set I received was brand new and in a Rock Band box and was of much better quality than the original I had purchased from the video game retailer I bought it from

Well, within about four months of playing the drums, my drums broke
I bought the Rock Band set in early December, as a Xmas gift for my kids (who are only here every other weekend) and by Feb. 14 the drums are totally unresponsive.
Just short of 50 days use and the drums (yellow the worst, then red) do not register the hits.
Essentially, I recommend the drums because they are fun but it WILL cost you a little more than what you are paying for the basic set
Well with that musical interference aside, these drums are awesome
The only downfall that comes with the set is that the pedal is horrendous to use
we were missing the pedal, I am unsure if it included it in the package.
