I was only able to load MP3 files onto the XMP3i using the horribly slow XM To Go Music Manager software

After doing all of this, it was a serious bummer to discover that the XM portable unit limits the output volume severely when sitting in the car dock.

I thought sat rad had all these cool channels where you would hear stuff that wasn't on FM, but the truth is that it's still very mainstreamy.

Even though I am in a large metropolitan area, there are enough unused channels to choose from in the FM band so that the XMp3i can send satellite radio through.

I purchased a cassette adapter for it which alleviates the pain of trying to find a clear radio station while traveling, and it fixes the problem of my cars radio not having an input

That battery is quite good and lasts about 3.5 hours if listening live and 7 hours or so if listening to recorded music.

When the ignition is off the other devices will drain the battery till it ruins both the radio and battery, getting extremely hot.
