I like the idea that this is a very simple radio in a compact size
I like the size of the yaesu compared to the kenwood, to me it was just a bit too small in the hand
It is a pretty solidly built unit, the size and weight are just right for daily carry, the stock antenna is quite fair despite my local high RF traffic

I just wanted a solid hand held 2 meter transceiver and the Yaesu FT-60R meets those requirements
Excellent Amateur Radio hand held VHF/UHF radio; Must be licensed ham operator to use this radio for transmit
Probably my second favorite hand held is the kenwood th-f6 and it has all the bells and whistles you could want in a radio, on rare occasion you can catch it on sale but still costs more than the ft-60r

This radio seems to be built from good materials and has some good features.
This unit was my very first Ham radio, and I loved the features, durability and ease of use that when my 17 year old decided to get his

Comparable with the kenwood th f6a (which is almost twice as expensive) build quality is pretty much identical, though I prefer programming the kenwood more than the yaesu
It does everything I expected to do and more it is a solid well-built handheld radio and I would recommend it to anybody else who wants to buy one or is interested it is very user-friendly.
No matter, its a well built radio that is easy to program & use
It is solid and well-built and doesn't have a cheap plastic feel to it

Transmit quality seems fine and it receives better than both my scanners.
Buy a cheaper product and you get unwanted RF radiation and poorer quality results
When you want excellent quality, lots of features, and solid functionality, get the Yaesu!
I'm very picky about quality and this radio is 100% top quality
