Because my daughter is so young, she doesn't exercise as much caution with the guitar as I would like (which is a testament to how well it stays tuned)

I play it for him from time to time, and it stays fairly well tuned

His teacher is very impressed with the sound and that it holds it's tune pretty well

I would not buy this guitar for my self or recommend it to anyone except a child as a first instrument

My 9 year old daughter is taking her first guitar lessons and this is the perfect size for her

but the super small size is awkward for an adult woman's chest.

It plays well and is the perfect size for ur 9 year old daughter.

Our son started guitar lessons a few months ago and this has been the perfect size and type of guitar for him to start with.

It is very nice quality, and we are super happy we made the purchase to get her started.

I don't know a lot about guitars but this one seems like pretty good quality for the price.

It seems like a very good quality guitar with a very good sound.

If, on the other hand, you want to purchase a very nice quality guitar without shelling out big bucks, especially for a beginner, I would highly recommend this guitar.

This is a solid starter guitar, and is playable even for some adults who want a travel instrument

Like others have said not only a great starter guitar for a youngster but perfect for a travel guitar

Perfect travel size, and we're giving it to my son next year for his first guitar.

Good sound, good action, definitely not a toy with nylon strings that most kids get

Still plays great, great action, great tone for the size.

The tuning machines are poor quality, one of the pegs keeps popping out, and the action is lousy (like any guitar comes out of the box unfortunately).

For a little more than $100 you get an easy to play, real guitar, with a quite decent action, fret work, etc

Later, I have purchased two other guitars that at some really great prices:Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II (paid $405),Epiphone SG Special (paid $90),My 6 year old son has his electric Ibanez Stratocaster 3/4.

You get a real guitar at a very good price, that's pretty vibrant, while keeping in mind that it is on a small scale.

Worth the small price, but remember before you buy, not only is this guitar a small guitar with a small price, but it also has a small sound to it.

But for that purpose, it does the job at a cheap price with adequate workmanship and set-up

When you take into consideration the very modest price, this is a fantastic value.

I bought a similar Yamaha as a teen 25 years ago and they still make a great product
