I had one and sadly sold it along with many other great synthesizers because my synth collection was getting out of hand

This is an awesome keyboard/synthesizer, but there are a few things you should know.- This only comes with the keyboard and an AC adaptor

As always, the strings are really nice (as always), the drum kits are a nice bonus, and the pianos sound really good

It feels fairly cheap compared to other full size weighted keyboards like the Nord Stage

This is pretty much useful stock sounds for the stage in a light weight portable and easy to use format

Doesn't have a good rock organ... meaning a growling Hammond through a Leslie.

This would be great for someone who needs on demand useful and realistic organs, rhodes, pianos, etc

There are other usable organs though.2.

The four octave size was perfect for what I needed, I prefer synth action to weighted, and I knew the user interface would be familiar.

The keys are weighted and the action is really great.

I knew it came with the classic concert grand piano, which I like, but it also comes with around 1000 sounds of every genre and type

For other needs, this would be a decent first synth if you can live with four octaves.

You can plug your iPhone or iPad into the USB port using the Apple USB to lightning camera connection adapter and you have access to the full DX100 synthesizer, which is a fabulous FM synth from the 80's based on the famous DX7

MX88 is a nicely priced full size 88 key weighted keyboard based on Yamaha's industry standard Motif series

The best way to describe this is to say that the play experience has a very balanced feel.

Right out of the box, this keyboard is a great way to get into a full sized keyboard with a good amount of sounds and a nice feel

The lower octaves are a little heavier feeling than the higher octaves which is a nice feature

Finally, I want to mention a gimmicky but actually super cool feature that I was not expecting but am really excited about for sentimental reasons

Kind of a cool feature Yamaha has been including with some of their latest keyboards that is nice to include on this one
