I've leaned Denon receivers for many years, and I am still an unapologetic of their models that are manufactured in Japan; but there is a precipitous drop off when it comes to their more affordable models (largely out of China), and after the failure of not one, but two, 700Ws, I wanted to give the similarly outfitted Yamaha a try
No need to by "this year's model" as last year's model is perfect and saved me over $100.
