If your mug has a lid, it works slightly better, but I always still wind up just walking my mug back to the microwave, which - again - defeats the purpose of having a mug warmer

It’s nice that it’s auto on and off (I’ve called work before to ask them to make sure i remembered to turn it off 😆) and not to have to worry about pushing a button to turn it on and off (that’s the piece that’s broke on my last two Disney mug warmers); HOWEVER, it barely keeps the mug warm, and that’s kind of the point of a mug warmer

Then the mug warmer sparked and started smoking (just a little waft of smoke but still)

If you use the mug warmer next to a recliner, absentmindedly putting any small item on top of the warmer turns It on automatically, as there is no on/off switch.

Out of concern that doing this again could cause a fire, I am throwing the mug warmer away

This product doesn’t come with the mug (as mentioned in the product description) and I found it quite difficult to find the perfect mug that would work (one with a flat bottom)

so you will need an extension cord, it does not keep whole mug warm only the bottom half even for an hour.
