But rather than uncontrollably, unusably artifacting, they are consistent tools to craft with
but it's an affordable tool that will help you get inspired and will not leave you with buyers remorse or with gear envy
Great tool - but not all functions can be accessed via feet ( I guess additional functionality means compromises )... but still an economic alternative over buying multiple pedals especially for a beginner .
Extremely dissapointed and would not recommend this product to anyone that is serious about their tone
This product is noisy, and sounds far too fake to bring on a gig.
good product, great for practicing and very portable, good seller, and well packaged.
This is overall a great product but the product did have a few issues when I connected it to the plant waves adapter as suggested when purchasing it caused issues with the LCD display on the Zoom
The reviews say it all--this is an excellent product at an excellent price
Where they fall short is the dirty distortions, I think, and they tend to suck the tone out of the guitar
Seems the reviews of this pedal emphasize the variety of tones and the low cost; I wished to give an alternative perspective of unnecessary tones and seventy bucks out the window is the most expensive device you can buy (unless you use it as your only modeling pedal and it lasts at least several years, both of which are highly unlikely).
This is just one example, but the same can be said for many other effects in regards to inspiring confidence (a warm, bluesy tone when practicing Stevie Ray, the crazy Hendrix tone, etc)
One crunchy tone can be followed by some weird echo tone followed by a clean.
It takes a bit to get used to controls, but once you have you can fairly easily dial in just About any tone you want, from sparkling clean to all out death metal over-the top tones, and everything imaginable in between
An amazing product in a small package with a great price
I highly recommend it, especially since the price is amazingly cheap.
When I first noticed the Zoom G1on on a retailer's website I thought the $49 price was either a mistake or it was a "blow out" price because of some design flaw
I even thought the price was wrong or for a banged-up unit
But for the price, and the number of presets, this is made up for
I was mainly looking for multiple-sound effects but the looper, the tuner, and the rhythm are all nice added features especially for the price!
A little difficult learning units features but learning was well worth the time.
Yes it is missing some features but as most people have attested to they are not needed anyway
Feels more like an effects pedal, has all the same great features as the G1 with the addition of a looper and a large screen which gives it much more character than the simpler layout of the G1.
On the other hand, the G1on seems to compare very well with expensive pedals by having a whole lot of usable sounds and features at a low price
You can either use this with your expensive tube amp, using just the stompbox simulations, or add it to a cheap guitar and amp and get the sound you're looking for
This has killer amp modeling and effects especially when you consider the price
Zoom does not include the full list of available amps and effects with the unit, and so makes experimentation a bit more challenging
Typically this can include 5 of any: Amp Model, Distortion, Fuzz, Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Compressor, Etc.
It isn't quite the same thing as quality pedals going in to a top notch tube amp, but for the price, it allows many sounds you couldn't get without spending a lot of money
