My ZOTAC came defaulted at 1952 clock, I reset it back lower than it's supposed stock speed, immediately upon use, hoping it was a temperature issue, definitely not the case, my case and card ran exceptionally cool - likely my unit had a defective fan setup, regardless, the ZOTAC is by far the worst of the three 1080 ti cards, it's orkish in comparison to the EVGA and MSI

The non-founders/specialty cards differ in PCB design which means two things: 1) power delivery and 2) cooling

With GPU Boost, your max clock will be limited depending on load regardless of your OC unless you tweak power & voltage - a big limitation is usually cooling, but this card provides more than enough
Even though variance from GPU boost is to be expected, make sure to give it comprehensive stress testing before acceptance
Things to note: Core Edition is simply a worse Extreme Edition, though GPU Boost can make base and boost clock somewhat irrelevant

I have a silent rig, maybe just above ambient levels 20dBA (closed case) or so, and this card at up to 50% (as much as i've tested is DEAD SILENT)

However, the performance delta is small, maybe a mere 100-200mhz in overall top speed and a few FPS in game, and the gap can usually be closed with overclocking
Massively oversized, in comparison and nowhere near as efficient, the 5-10% FPS gains due to the insane clock speeds, just aren’t worth it, IMO.
In essence, the design has a negligible, but real, effect on pure top-line speed

The performance of this card for GPU rendering is really impressive. ..
Performance - I have no complaints at all
Performance is amazing, I had a ASUS Direct CUII GTX 780 and it was a solid card and give ASUS all the cred it for that card holding it's own while being overclocked for 4 years
Card with solid performance, but does require additional cooling as it runs about 10 degrees hotter then other 1080TI's that i have.

Either way, no regrets purchasing this card whatsoever.
Either way, if this card was good when it left the store it should have been good when it arrived
Its way fast and pretty quiet.

Checked temps after gaming and this thing was cool.
This thing can suck up a whopping

The card is awesome I gave 1 star less because, the free game code that came with this or which was suppose to come with this was already used
Some games run over 2ghz but sometimes will throttle down slightly during variable loads
I'm a very light gamer, and I don't like tweaking to instability.
This game runs so smooth and all the special effects are in ultra vision
This game is INTENSE!!. Anyways, even after going through that torture for a good 5 minutes the card REFUSED to go over 65C and was quiet as a mouse, even quieter actually
