I have been using it as a practice amp as well as in a band setting
I agree with another reviewer who said that this is best thought of as a loud practice combo and an excellent, powerful head with tons of clean headroom.
Received into a home of professional musicians in which is to be found over 40 different amps, this powerful and lusty-voiced little appliance has loads of clean headroom, wonderful tonal range, a little-old-lady friendly weight and enough power to force the dog under the bed
Then I was amazed at how LOUD it could be and still have clean headroom

u use, but it's awesome trough a 4x12 MesaBoggie cab, and trough a 4x12 Marshall

the ambiance was a better feature than newer verb processors
Personally I love that feature because you can also use the phones jack as an output to a PA with the amp's internal speaker still active
Some of the nice features of the Lunchbox include a headphone/DI out (perfect for when you want to run through the board), a speaker on/off switch, an Ambience knob (open-back cabinet simulation, sort of like a room reverb), and Speaker out (if you need to power a cabinet @ 200W).

The overall sound is a bit artificial, and while it might sound good at low volumes, there are MANY other amps in this price range which are small, but have much better tone, and don't misrepresent their power

There's enough reviews on here that state the obvious
I just bought this amp based upon the amazing reviews both here and on other websites.
I came close to buying the THR10 because of the favorable reviews, but at the end of the day I wanted a little more boom which a six-inch speaker can easily produce, while the Mustang I was just too big for a lunchbox solution.

The speaker/cabinet seems to be able to handle only about 3/4 the available volume (Gain at 5:00, Volume at 12:00) before it begins to buzz noticeably, even though it is built very solidly (the whole amp seems very well made, especially for the price).
With the volume and gain up at 50%, the Lunchbox was able to hang with a Marshall stack, a 4x12 bass cab, and a loud drummer
And volume enough to piss off your neighbors!Simply put, you won't be disappointed.
If you are after clean volume you might be disappointed.
In fact, the 12 watt (solid state) practice amp has about the same useful volume as the LB and sounds much better
The "ambience" setting adds dimension in a subtle chorus or delay manner, but with a decent digital reverb pedal, it' might just be the lightest, cleanest and best go-to jazz gigging guitar amp yet.

Some pedals and guitars are picky about what amp they plug into
The Lunchbox, when accompanied by a decent pedal set up (I'm using a Digitech RP355) is perfect for small venues, and capable of filling a medium size venue
Zoom pedals work excellently, Line 6 POD works very well, and Digitech does not work well

The ZT Amplifiers Lunchbox Combo Amplifier is an ultra-compact amp loud enough to gig with that weighs less than 10 pounds
Packing 200 watts of power, it pumps a ton of power through its 6.5" internal speaker, and can simultaneously drive an external cabinet
On its own the Lunchbox can overpower your drummer with ease
Unlike any other amp close to its size, it has the muscle to handle any effects you throw in front of it, and the warmth and depth to sound great with single-coil pickups as well as humbuckers
Add a Lunchbox Cab extension speaker (sold separately) or go bigger with a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet for even more output, enhanced bottom end, or tonal variation
The Lunchbox amp's clean tonal palette is versatile enough for rock, blues, jazz, and country players alike
This amp is adored by pedal freaks, and takes a boost/overdrive like a champ
It has all the give and responsiveness of a classic tube amp without the size, weight, and maintenance
The Lunchbox is used in studio and on stage by high-level pros such as Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Nels Cline & Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Andy Summers (The Police), and Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), and has been a best friend to musicians worldwide who love its versatility and portability
Add the Lunchbox to your collection and you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.
