I think this mousepad is expensive, but after using an "old school" white one for a few months, and seeing the cat hair and stains it accumulated (I use it on a desk in an art studio, so it gets splattered with paint), I finally broke down and got this one, hoping it might be better

I purchased this to replace my 12+ year old 3M Precise Mousing Surface mousepad which had AMAZING comfort in its gel wrist rest.

Great mousepad, but my only real complaint is that it's curling inward over time - still able to use it, but it's kind of an irritant.

It was warped and would not track correctly, plus the surface was not the same as another 3M Precise product I had purchased (the thin one with the sticky back).

Having used the cheap mouse pads for years - either the free giveaway mouse pads or the cheap mouse pads found at office supply stores, I was pleasantly surprised by the 3M Precise mouse pad.

Mouse pad lies flat and works like a charm - like my old 3M Precise Mouse Pad.

The mouse pad is extremely comfortable and I've noticed my wrist doesn't hurt as much as it did when I used a foam cushioned mouse pad
