I have taken on bumpy roads and its been flawless.

I had another phone holder that used one of the cup holders and it would sometimes release my phone when hitting extremely bumpy roads at highway speeds.

If the car mount does attach easily to the window or dashboard, you can try the car fin attachment and the clip is strong when driving on bumpy roads.
