I cleaned my brand new iPhone 8 with Zeiss Lens cleaner and Kimwipes then watched the video the manufacturer linked to in the instructions included with the screen protector and then cleaned it with the included tiny square of microfiber cloth and then the included sticker and put it in the alignment device and applied it according to the instructions

Belkin really does make excellent iPhone accessories

This is not so much an issue if you have 2 iPhone 7 Plus' to protect in which case this is a great deal
