I am a photographer and need to charge my camera batteries which I can't do via USB, so this thing has been a life saver for me

If they were to upgrade those ports to Quick Charge 3.0, this thing would be irreplaceable in that regard

and I hope to be able to charge things like a heating pad, iPad, phone, laptop and my portable Canon printer

This works perfect as planned for my laptop in my vehicle as well as many other things I didn't even think I'd use it for before buying.

Can't get it to work for the devices I need - took it on a camping trip with hopes of utilizing it for a "between bonfires" electric kettle, and it wouldn't work for anything despite the power draw of the kettle being a lot less than what this thing is supposedly capable of

You can either splice it yourself or get a cheap adaptor cable thing on amazon here, hook to battery and trail it on thru the firewall grommet of your car and wire it to where you need it to go

Tiny, slow charging things are okay for this.
