Great sound if you looking for a distortion and not sure

Very nice sound, and can produce a wide range of sounds for a good price
-
This pedal has been around since the 80`sThe distortion isnt a repackaged reproduced boutique pedal its a straight forward clean distortion pedal with no BS.I have owned hundreds of distortion pedals and always came back to this one and said:WOW,I still like this sound after so many years of owning so much junk.
-
It's the same sound as the original orange DS-1; that classic solid-state distortion that's a little noisy, heavier than the SD-1 or those Tube Screamer type pedals
-
For the price this is one of the best distortion boxes available, it works quite well into a clean sounding amp like the little Quilter Micro Block
-
The not-quite-tube like dynamics actually benefit my sound in this setup as the preamp is doing all the tuby stuff
-
It's got an excellent distortion sound and has great pickup attack.
-
A classic pedal with a classic sound.
-
I must say that I don't use it on a daily basis, but still, for the time I have had this thing It gave me great sound great
-
You can certainly dial in a solid distortion sound for your guitar or other electric instruments, but I recommend you use it with a noise gate as well, in order to cut down on some of the unwanted frequencies and popping sounds.
-
Great sound
-
It doesn't really make a solid-state amp sound like a tube amp, it's just a very honest distortion
-
v good sound, only bad thing is i am physically unable to play
-
The sound is amazing!
-
They build rock solid pedals, and versatile sounds.
-
you have a nice clean sound with a bit of hair....bring it up and it gets bluesy and heavier, but it doesn't have a mid bump like TS style...which is good
-
and I love the sound the pedal plays well with others
-

It turned my Boss DS1 distortion into a fantastic, way more expensive sounding pedal
-
It's Tone knob gives the sound a more thick, almost muddy sound when turned to the left, while turning it to the right gives it a much more clear, defined, but treble-y sound.
-
This pedal generates a very cool sound which is great especially when performing live!
-
Great sound.
