the T2i but the T3 was more in my budget and so far has not disappointed.

In the end, the majority came to the conclusion that though the T3 was cheaper in build quality than the Nikon, the Canon T3 took overall better pictures

So like most people, I read a lot of reviews before purchasing the Cannon T3.

Wow is the T3 easy to just pick up & start shooting pictures

If it isn't signifcantly better than my Canon T3, I will definitely return it, as I always want my money's worth and there's no sense in replacing a sure winner.

I'm currently reading Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D for Dummies and would highly recommend it to first time owners since it goes into the specifics of this exact model and kit.

Continuous shooting and large files can slow the T3 up considerable, but shoot using the viewfinder instead of live view, and use a class 10 SD card and this will not bother you until you are ready for a more advanced camera anyway.

And overall, the T3 is faster and more fluid than the D3100

I love my T3

But, using the canon rebel t3 is very good and also lightroom 4 is the best editing for this

Going from a point and shoot to this SLR was a smooth transition, I still have my nikon L100, which has awesome image stabilization for video and pics, and the T3's VR is also damn good when using the stock lens that comes with it

Overall, I've been extremely satisfied with the Canon Rebel T3 and would recommend it for first-time SLR owners like me.

We had been looking to replace our old Canon film camera with a good digital unit and the Rebel T3 exceeded all of our expectations.

I put a grip on mine, bought some old vintage lenses, threw on some filters and a tulip hood... upgraded the memory card... and after shooting up about 3 cards full of photos as well as 3 full of film since Christmas, I gotta think the world is filled with a bunch of malcontents
