For the tablet, I downloaded the free Canon printing app from Google Play Store, installed it, and was successful printing a photo on the first try

So, it took most of the day, but I finally got this new Canon working as well as the six year old Canon it replaced.

The print quality of the photos is exceptional and I was pleased to see that Canon included a few 6x8 photo paper sheets in the box as well, though quality suffices even printing photos on plain paper.
