I was able to use a plastic pry tool to slip this cable between the floor molding and carpet.

I ran this about 30 feet in a room from my router to a device that has poor wifi reception.

The connection from my room to my router was really far and because of this my wifi was really slow

I use this cable for my laptop since my room is far from the router and my laptop has a weak WiFi connection

and now I don't have to fuss with Wi-Fi connectivity issues with all the walls between the computer and router.

It would be interesting to see if the performance improves with an SSD instead of the mechanical hard drives in the NAS
