Corsair SF Series, SF450, 450 Watt, SFX, 80+ Platinum Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply

    • All I can say is that I would highly recommend this PSU to anyone in the market
    • Do you have various hdds ? or fans ? and have a graphics card - if you do you may want to aim to a better psu
    • Appears to be a very good quality PSU
    • Overall, easily the best SFX PSU on the market at the moment
    • For example, the CPU power connector can be split in half to create a 4 pin connector instead of an 8 pin connector.-Fairly cheap ATX PSU compared to other power supplies of this quality.-Comes with 4 screws to hold the power supply in and comes with Zip ties for cable management which was very useful.-Comes with plenty of extra cables for SATA
    • Quiet PSU
    • I give it 4 stars because it looks nice, is of high quality, performs well, and I would say is a perfect PSU for a lower end computer or even a higher end computer that doesn't consume a ton of power.
    • This PSU is very quiet
    • Really good PSU, uses the Type 4 connector in case you plan to buy a cable kit from Corsair.
    • great psu
    • Since Corsair is one of the top PSU makers, I will for sure stick with them when upgrading.
    • I thought the price was very reasonable and so far this product has been reliable while my other PSU is being worked on.
    • (This is assuming you can find it at a good price - as in maybe half of the $90 that Corsair suggests it should sell for - you can get a much better PSU for $90).
    • Great PSU
    • Good PSU for my case.
    • Overall this is a great PSU for the money!
    • I recommend this PSU to mid range PC builders that need to save money on the PSU but not go too cheap

    • Throughout my last few PCs, I noticed one common problem; after about a month or so, the PSU begins to whine.
    • Its the cheapest modular PSU that I've found that is certified
    • This semi-modular PSU is excellent for cable management
    • top notch PSU however it may not have enough cables for fancy builds with Crossfire/SLI, fancy case lighting or a bunch of extra fans
    • This is a very nice PSU
    • Great psu for the
    • My system is built for efficiency so the PSU is overkill
    • This is a very well made PSU
    • My old PSU ( the F-16 jet I was referring to earlier) was able to push my processor up to 4.6 ghz and it would not crash on me, however that one was rated at 550w
    • Cables are sheathed to prevent the insulation from wearing off, and it's large fan is quiet and does a good job of keeping the PSU cool
    • but it this PSU is good for the price and not only the price it takes everything that I threw at
    • (if you know what that is), they say EVGA and SeaSonic are the only good PSU brands (everyone was hating on Corsair when I was reading through the current /pcbg/ thread)
    • As a previous reviewer mentioned, the PSU seems great but the cables were awful
    • Affordable good quality psu
    • The PSU is quiet and has been functioning without issues for the past 3 months.
    • My current Rig (being upgraded):PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS
    • This is really an amazing PSU
    • Great PSU for the pice
    • Perfect PSU for someone on a budget who doesn't have a particularly power-hungry system - love that it's semi-modular, but wish it had included just one more cable for peripherals.
    • Ordered for a friends custom built PC whose cheap PSU that came with the case junked out
    • Had bought two cheaper PSU's before this one and both burned up in less than a year so am very happy with this one.
    • My PSU burned out while playing a game, and this brought it back to life
    • Thanks to this perfect little power supply, I was able to revive my dying Computer with a very fair priced and more importantly "modular" PSU.
    • Solid PSU
    • This psu is awesome for gamers that just have one gpu and do not crossfire
    • Rock solid PSU - went into an image editing computer that works with high resolution images and runs for days
    • Not enough to be extremely concerning, but enough to be annoying about having to worry when it will happen next (already ruined one League of Legends game for me).Researching online, these symptoms point to a bad PSU (don't have a GPU at the moment, using an R5
    • Its been like a month and 8 days since i bought this item, and it already blew out, i am not satisfied with the product, I was in the middle of a Rocket league game and all of sudden *POP* dead psu, sounded like something popped, scared me to death.
    • I don't know if I just got a defective psu or if the molex connector is supposed to provide more power, either way everything is currently running now without problems so far.
    • I needed a more powerful PSU since I bought an older GTX470 for an old rig I was "upgrading"
    • Great PSU
    • Perhaps this PSU and the mobo just aren't compatible, so I'm going to advise you not to use this component with an AsRock Z77 Pro4 motherboard
    • Great PSU, 450W is all that is often needed
    • The PSU was okay when it worked
    • nice psu
    • They just need to update that one cable and this psu would be perfect for any build
    • Solid PSU so far.
    • Great PSU!
    • This PSU has extremely low noise as advertised
    • It's not a bad PSU, just low life expectancy when you're a gamer...
    • Very quiet PSU even under load if specified correctly
    • First time I've used a modular PSU, worked awesome, Definitely worth it for a Mini or Micro ATX build
    • This is a great PSU from a great company, if you need a 500w PSU then look no farther
    • Nice PSU
    • And the new one that I now have in my PC is probably the best PSU I have ever purchased
    • good psu, no problems to be found
    • When I installed this PSU the problems I was experiencing cleared up and my hardware and software install went without a hitch
    • Good PSU at this price
    • Highly recommend this psu, because while not the sexiest of computer parts, the psu is really a foundation that everything else depends on, is one of the more complicated parts to replace (because of all the cables) so is worth getting high quality from the
    • (if you know what that is), they say EVGA and SeaSonic are the only good PSU brands (everyone was hating on Corsair when I was reading through the current /pcbg/ thread)
    • Good PSU
    • If you're ok with a little ambient noise, this is perfect and it's a great PSU.
    • This PSU should fix any problem like that, and the price is great considering this is Corsair, not some generic brand with questionable components
    • Good PSU.
    • Pretty much standard features on the computer so this PSU is perfect for what I need it for.
    • This PSU is almost silent and has worked perfectly.
    • been using it as soon as I got it, amazing psu

    • Great PSU for the buck
    • This is a great PSU
    • PSU was dead on arrival
    • It was a very silent psu.
    • I've recently tried it again with a new graphics card and have come to realize I ordered a defective PSU that never worked in the first place
    • Awful PSU, constantly underloading a system that only pulls 375w, and it's so damn
    • It may have that angsty teen appeal, but it makes testing the power supply with a multimeter (which I had to do with my previous PSU) more problematic.
    • Strange and janky fix, but it was a cheap PSU and still works.
    • Brand new psu, failed within a 2 month period
    • Now adding in the Zero RPM feature, we might have one of the quietest, and strongest little SFX PSU’s on the market
    • Well all I have to say is that this is a really sturdy PSU, the quality is noticeable to the naked eye
    • In a real life scenario where you'll be gaming for extended periods of time (where a case can get up to 60+C), the RMx PSU will be vastly more efficient, and generate less heat.
    • And the PSU is no louder then case fans as in I do not hear any increase in noise have dual fans push / pull on a 140mm Radiator 1 exhaust with 2 intake fans.
    • Well made, solid PSU
    • There's just one thing that's bugging me, but it hasn't affected performance or usability thus far, and that is, when I smell the PSU around the I/O switch, it smells like burned capacitors/electronics, I don't remember if it smelled that way out of the box
    • I bought this to replace a much more expensive PSU that for some reason stopped working and this thing putting in work with no problems so far
    • already have a highly efficient PSU, in conjunction with Active PFC to reduce sound and increase the efficiency even more

    • My PSU on my old tower died.
    • It's a HTPC, it's meant to go into a living room, advertising as a selling feature of it's 500 watt psu sorta makes you think the PSU is reasonably quiet for the living room
    • about 200W so the PSU stays mostly silent.
    • The PSU doesn't even break a sweat while powering these, even functioning simultaneously
    • A good PSU which I used in a custom firewall appliance
    • Solid PSU
    • Meanwhile my PC is down for 2 weeks (so far) due to the failed PSU, and I had to purchase a replacement myself (another brand) despite the Corsair PSU warranty
    • The PSU has been running great and it's been running a bit cooler now that the CX500 isn't being pushed
    • Overall I'm very happy that this PSU is available now:

    • I didn't have the noisy experience some report, but this PSU was perfect for me
    • This is an amazing budget PSU
    • But as for the VS550, if you are looking for a low cost, decent quality PSU that should last 5 years or more, the price is great and it should power any single GPU and any consumer level CPU without any issues.
    • Great PSU,
    • I'm looking to get another power supply made from another brand and not this noisy POS PSU
    • Not only is this psu more powerful, it's also quieter
    • This PSU would be perfect for a mining rig as well
    • Can't say all that much about this PSU yet, as it just replaced a failed OCZ PSU that didn't even make it a year
    • I liked this PSU for its price, but I wasn't going to risk it going out on me
    • The PSU is ALOT quitter then my old PSU!!
    • Came with everything I needed for a quick install of a dead PSU
    • I recommend this PSU!
    • Strange and janky fix, but it was a cheap PSU and still works.
