Apparently, they are slightly faster than other chips (such as the stock ones, or the upgrade from Crucial).Also, the "Vengeance" series of RAM is marketed towards gamers and such, but I haven't even played solitaire on my Mac yet, and it still works.

The upgrade from 4GB to 16GB worked very well.

Easy upgrade (thanks to ifixit) and much cheaper than getting the Mac pre-configured with this amount of RAM.

Also worth noting is I was able to take the original 4GB DIMM that came with my laptop and place it in another to upgrade that system to 8GB, which would not have been possible if I bought the more expensive upgrade from Lenovo originally.

This was a great upgrade to the default Dell L702 memory

While I can say most people may not benefit from this upgrade but for anyone who does (HD) video/photo editing and runs virtual machines (either Fusion or Parallels) will definitely LOVE this upgrade.

I booted the laptop once, confirmed that it seemed functional, then shut it down and installed these, as well as an OWC Mercury 6G Electra solid state drive.
