    CORSAIR VS Series, VS400, 400 Watt, 80+ White Certified, Non-Modular Power Supply

    • May have stretched the risk way too far this time, since this has to drive unlocked quad-core Athlon with dual-cooler fan, a GTX 570, three hard drives and a couple of case of fans
    • I matched this with a FX6300 cpu, sapphire R9 380 video card, 970A-G43 msi mother board, a basic optical drive, 4gbs or ram, western digital 1tb hard-drive, and 3 case fans
    • I have two solid-state hard drives that will work fine, but as soon as I hook up my 2 TB internal hard drive it dies

    • If you have more than three hard drives, you'll have to order a separate cable, though
    • You may need to go above this power if you have SLI video cards or your gaming rig is setup with so many components in it (many hard drives, video cards, extreme CPU, etc.)
    • Power supply is alright, ther are very few modular prices and the power for hard drives are all on one strand making it very hard for it to have multiple hard drives powered using the same strand
