    • It's roomy, easy to use, the plates are reversable so you can get a nice grill sear or flat
    • In order to lock it in, you have to press up on the hot plate
    • Like I'll turn the temp higher on the top plate than the bottom plate sometimes.
    • The removable plates are so easy to clean, and they eliminate any danger of getting water into the electrical works when cleaning

    • The top plate does not get as hot as the bottom one same as first one I owned
    • The bottom plate is now almost useless, requiring extended soaking in order to scrape (with included plastic scraper) the stuck food particles off.
    • The adjust-ability of the top plate helps to cook thick sandwiches and meats evenly
    • slight wear on nonstick coating, top plate does not lie totally flat when open so don't try to fry an egg on that side.
    • It uses indirect heating elements (which some people have questioned as a bad thing?), but it transfers the heat to the removable plates very well and heats up in less than 10 minutes to over 400 degrees.
    • I only have one problem, the top griddle plate is a little stubborn to lock in
    • The removable plates make cleaning easy.

    • I can make 8 good size pancakes on the smooth plates when opened and flat
    • Since it is "springy", it puts pressure on the back side of the top plate, pushing it further out of parallel with the bottom
    • Another minor issue I had was that the left side of the top plate seemed to hang lower than the right (creating uneven pressure from left to right), but I was able to fix this by loosening the 2 torx bolts on the sides of the handle then retightening them while holding the handle in a position where the two plates were parallel in the front.
    • I love that you can adjust the height of the top plate and how much space it has

    • I can't tell you how many times I've almost burned myself wiping off the top plate
    • My only complaints are that they don't have more plate attachment styles available for it and that the upper griddle plate is a bit tricky to attach until you get the hang of it
    • However, once you lift the top plate, it does not lock back in to the hinge and that causes the grease or drippings to miss the grease tray at the back of the unit
    • so I took out my digital temperature measurement laser gun and checked the temperature and sure enough top and bottom plates were between 35-50 degrees off at same spots
    • My only negative keeping it from 5 stars is that the top plate does not heat to the same temperature as the bottom
    • After about a year of use the top plate has started to slide from the clip when it gets hot.
    • It's a little finicky to put the top plate back on the griddler
    • Also, if you look at the top plate, you will see that it can rotate independently
    • Easy to use and appreciate the reversible/interchangeable plates
    • The 2 hot plates are nicely plated and clean up with hot water and soap.
    • The bottom plate lies flat so grease sits between the raised grill surfaces rather than running into the reservoir, but below the food, so not an issue.

    • And the "easy to clean" plates, aren't.
    • It would be nice if there was a separate handle on the top plate that stays cool to use as leverage to lock the hinge back in
    • The plates clean up nicely, but I find I can't simply put them in the dishwasher and expect them to come out perfectly clean.
    • I only have one problem, the top griddle plate is a little stubborn to lock in
    • Upper plate stopped working after three years.
    • When the accompanying knob for either top plate or bottom plate reaches the commanded temperature, the aforementioned LED will glow green

    • I have been learning that this is not for quick cooking!350 preheated with top plate at 350 as well and lowered just above food - sausage links cook in 10 minutes and did brown nicely
    • The pegs that the top plate swivel on need to be brought forward to the point where the top plate hangs parallel to the bottom plan (slightly off-level).2)
    • Love the removable plates
    • If it's that easy, and I'm a serious home cook, for the top plate not to be
    • Since day one, we had an issue with the top plate not staying latched
    • Both top and bottom plates heat up very fast
    • One thing we have noticed it that the top grill plate doesn’t seem to get quite as hot as the bottom, so we usually just adjust the temperature of that one a little

    • Could this be a typo??Pros-well constructed unit-easy clean up-attractive on counter-large drip tray-independent heating coils for top and bottom plates-floating hinge for top plateCons-
    • so badly I was sure the plates would never get clean.
    • Another issue is that the upper plate unsnaps allowing the plates to meet parallel for thicker items like sandwiches, but there should be a release button for this because if it pops open and you raise the top, grease will drip off the upper plate and miss the grease tray completely.
    • The Top plate is quite a bit hotter than the lower plate
    • The upgrades in this model are significant: more temperature controls, individual top and bottom controls, and extremely easy plate changing
    • Burned hand when top plate came loose..after reading manual!!Now attempting to return item
