Worked perfectly and powered right up

I have an N64 where the original power adapter has become faulty, and any slight movement of the console or even to plug in an extra controller, the console will turn off and never turn back on again for at least a whole day

Super snug fit (better then the original adapter); slapped the adapted into place, checked power; unit powers up as expected, I'll be stress testing it over the weekend to check heating

Sure enough, the genuine power supply worked like a charm, even on my brand new HD smart TV.tl

I lost my power adapter sometime during the past couple years

I purchased an authentic power supply, and now I am enjoying my favorite N64 games!The actual design itself is not terrible

dr: this power supply turned on the red power light, but didn't give enough power to get the system to work

The adapter transmitted enough power to turn the power light on in the front of my N64 but the video signal wasn't being sent to the TV screen

Eventually I concluded that the issue was in fact the power supply, and ordered a genuine N64 power supply instead

It worked, but it caused the system to have rolling scan lines that was fixed when a used authentic Nintendo power supply was substituted for this supply.

Save yourself the inevitable hassle of having to return this one and just buy a genuine Nintendo power adapter if you want to actually play your N64.

My N64 was having issues maintaining a steady power flow and would randomly restart itself about five minutes into play.

This was an affordable and perfect easy power adapter replacement!
