After reading some reviews, I chose to purchase this Epson Perfection Photo Scanner.

This one does a very nice job, and has the added benefit of being able to scan both photo negatives (remember those?) and slides

This is a nice scanner - I've been scanning 2 strips of 35mm color film at a time - but at least one random photo (and sometimes all) from each strip scans the "person's" eyes blotted out and it ruins the photo.

Although this is not a pro-grade scanner it does a great job in scanning clean photos and documents.

Great scanner, don't expect speed on the high resolution scans, but you will get a good scan and be able to get a larger print of a picture you have.

To conclude this, learn from me - DO A TEST SCAN IMMEDIATELY after getting it and look very carefully to see you don't get any strange colored lines in your photos.

Well, at this point, EPSON, your software is a lame, mostly worthless, POJ

Works great, software is easy to use, we can customize what types of photos wither its slide show photos or negatives that need to be scanned.

In both cases you can use the software dust removal which is fairly effective (3 levels low to high)USM

If Epson's software wasn't a pain to use, this would get five stars
