  • As for picture quality, this scanner does a pretty good job
  • Perfect for old B&W negatives and 35 mm color slides
  • That said, it does a good job scanning stills for the price
  • It works, isn't complicated to use, and does a great job.
  • It did a great job and was quick to scan so many slides.

Reviews around device (4.59 of 5)

  • I found that this device was awkward and not all that intuitive to use
  • The device functions as stated and is not broken however the Picture quality is fair to poor at best
  • I’ve only had this device for a short time, but so far so good
  • Would be a great device, but when scanning 135 film, it crops 36x24mm slides by ~2mm
  • Scans are not as sharp as I was expecting, and require extra editing for color correction.

Reviews around thing (4.33 of 5)

  • Look at us back then!"At any rate, this thing does exactly what I needed and I enjoyed using it
  • The hardest part is that the slides have to be cleaned quite well - the scanner will pick up dust and other imperfections - it is very sensitive (that is a positive thing)
  • Scans are not as sharp as I was expecting, and require extra editing for color correction.
  • I have run a couple of thousand slides through this unit and I can't say enough good things about it
  • The good thing is that I can finally view the slides again after decades of them sitting in boxes

Reviews around way (4.08 of 5)

  • Nevertheless this is a very cost effective and convenient way to scan negatives and slides, short of a bigger flat screen scanner.
  • I'd hoped this would solve my problem - an affordable way to get very good quality scans of my slides and negatives; consumers need a great product
  • That's probably the hard way, but I only had one day to do this, and I just didn't try to make that part easier.
  • Not the fastest way to get slides on my computer and then on
  • Needed an inexpensive and easy way to digitize old negatives and slides.

Reviews around result (4.01 of 5)

  • The results are great and quickly converted to JPG which then can be edited with software on your PC/Laptop
  • Only had this a week and have used it in a limited way, however, so far the results are quite good.
  • I tried a couple of DIY solutions with horrible results
  • This feature is helpful, but due to the small size of the screen, results are somewhat difficult to assess - or maybe it is just my old eyes
  • Ran a few that I had done by a pro shop with great results.

Reviews around product (3.87 of 5)

  • I'd hoped this would solve my problem - an affordable way to get very good quality scans of my slides and negatives; consumers need a great product
  • This is a great product for converting 35 mm and 110 photo negatives to digital
  • This product works really well for my slides but not so good on my Super8 film
  • This is a cheap piece of equipment packaged as an expensive product
  • The buttons are very loud when clicked which makes the product sound cheap and poorly made

Reviews around unit (3.75 of 5)

  • Perhaps this unit is defective, but I'm returning and not willing to try out a new unit.
  • I liked ths unit because it showed the negative as a picture, it could of used a larger viewer, for some negatives were larger than the unit takes, but all in all in saved me a ton of money.
  • If you're a photography buff, you're probably looking at more expensive, higher resolution units anyway, but for people in need of an inexpensive solution to digitizing their collections, I think this is a great option
  • I see that Amazon is selling much cheaper units that appear to have the same specs
  • We decided it is more than likely a defective unit, and they are replacing it

Reviews around item (3.75 of 5)

  • Awesome item, smooth transaction, fast delivery, outstanding seller A+++
  • I thought this item would be much better and that the features would result in quality pictures.
  • I found this item to be difficult to use.
  • I received a defective item, with a huge smear of adhesive (I think) directly across the lens, showing clearly in the scans.
  • Scans are not as sharp as I was expecting, and require extra editing for color correction.

Reviews around quality (3.65 of 5)

  • Good quality, easy to use, save straight to SD card is great
  • Stupid mistakes like this tend to indicate a foreign manufacturer, and poor quality
  • I'm not one to fuss over photo quality but was amazed at how good the slides transferred to jPeg format.
  • I did a great job scanning my pictures, quality was excellent and it was very easy to use

Reviews around memory (3.61 of 5)

  • I would like to get rid of the slides, but don't want to loose the memories
  • I have scanned hundreds of slides with never before seen family pictures, and I am able to share these precious memories with family for the first time
  • Digitized all 300 slides and had the chance to relive wonderful memories.
  • Customer service number is only open M-Th 9-6 and friday only 9 til 1 pm.
  • Quite satisfied and able to enjoy and save precious memories.

Reviews around color (3.56 of 5)

  • Scans of slides and negatives are fuzzy, out of focus, and have gray cast, from sharp, true color slides
  • Therefore, the bright colors in my Kodachrome slides is lost
  • BUT - the vibrant color on the slides is lost due to the machine "correcting" the color
  • There are only two things wrong with the result: Poor color and poor resolution
  • Even without the right colors, I could tell that the scans were not crisp and I suspect the color wouldn't be any better than with the negatives

Reviews around image (3.18 of 5)

  • The images were very blurred, I contacted Kodak and they acknowledge the receipt of my concern but never get back to me with any suggestion or answer.
  • Capturing the digital image is easy; editing the images is also easy and is providing me with better quality digital images than the original 35mm slides!
  • The scanner is fast and produces excellent digital images.
  • But the image quality is very disappointing; you get washed out grainy images with low contrast
  • Unfortunately, the scanned images were even worse - grainy & off-color.

Reviews around bite (1.95 of 5)

  • Scans are not as sharp as I was expecting, and require extra editing for color correction.
  • Good item, perhaps a bit
  • This little negative scanner is really terrific for 35mm negatives and slides, but is a bit tricky to feed 110 negatives through unless they are at least 4 or 5 pictures in a single strip -- and, sadly, the processors of 110 film were not very careful about that.
  • Years ago, my wife and I were very avid B&W photographers with our own enlarger and darkroom
  • The Slide Holder is a bit fragile and will hang up if you don't load properly, but once I realized this glitch I made sure each slide was right side up.

Reviews around mm (1.41 of 5)

  • I used it for converting strips of 35mm negatives into a digital format
  • This is a great product for converting 35 mm and 110 photo negatives to digital
  • I scanned both 35mm slides and negatives that I had also had prints of
  • 72 dpi is the highest resolution available for 35mm negatives.
  • I've tried just fine (35mm monochrome, color, and slides), but I would've liked an ejection rod of sorts for handling individual frames (with or without a slide).
