• Reviews around water resistance (2.84 of 5)

Essential Phone in Pure White – 128 GB Unlocked Titanium and Ceramic phone with Edge-to-Edge Display

    • Like water resistance, a headphone jack, wireless charging, things typical with flagship phones today
    • For context, I stream podcasts/music for about 1.5 hours during commutes, stream video for another 40 minutes or so at the gym, and keep the Bluetooth on all the time since this device is paired to my fitness tracker and Bluetooth headphones (both of which have better connections with this phone than to my Galaxy S8, btw). The only cons that come to mind are the lack of a headphone jack and the lack of water-resistance
    • If water resistance is a key issue for you then this would negate the benefits of robustness and size (below)Size: efficient design plus no case makes it nicely smaller (see photo)See the photo attached of the S7e and Essential.
    • Another quibble is that the phone does not have the same waterproof/water resistance as the latest iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S phones
    • I also own a Samsung S8 unit, the orquid gray variant, so I could also appreciate flagship features like water resistance, wireless and fast charging, light weighting, ergonomics and others (3.5 mm headphone jack)
    • Downside (for me) is water resistance and lack of a wireless charging dock at least initially.
    • Water resistance: I was looking forward to having a phone that I could use without fear in the water, but this phone is not it
    • Water resistance can be compromised by scratches, dents, or cracks on certain parts of the device.-No Expandable Storage - This also doesn't bother me because I will never even fill up the 128gb of internal storage, but for those that would like this option, you're out of luck with this
    • Like water resistance, a headphone jack, wireless charging, things typical with flagship phones today
    • No SD card slot, no wireless charging, no water resistance, a 4K screen to drain the battery capacity even faster, and to top it all off not even a freaking headphone jack
    • I wish it had an OLED display and some more significant water resistance, but other wise, the build and the bundle here is a very nice phone with premium feel and stellar design that should last for several years
    • Only issue is the fingerprint censor not working as fast as when I first got it
    • just works as it should for me.
    • Regarding the negative:[-] Delay in saving the picture when using the default camera app (this don't bother me too much as I didn't take photo that
    • and it may not be as smooth as a
    • It worked as good as on my Nexus 5x
    • but it lacks some of the features that the rear facing camera includes those features being portrait mode, 120 frames per second slow motion, monochrome video and monochrome photo, as well as we don't have a front-facing flash on this device
    • A couple of my installed Apps are not working as yet, but they will be updated soon.

    • No MicroSD card.- Selfie camera intrudes slightly onto screen- Tmobile signal strength not as
    • 3T has a mediocre camera and it blows this phone away
    • n’t have signal in most of house and I missed a lot of phone calls, but the phone is great build and overall a great product except if you have low signal in your house it will compromise your call quality up to having missed calls
    • I did a couple weeks of reading and research on it as well as the OnePlus 5t and thought what the heck I'd give it a shot
    • I still recommend the One Plus 5T over this if you have the extra money or have a CDMA carrier
    • Arguably the 5T is better than the Essential, stats-wise, but the elegant design and stock Android won out in the end.
    • I have a Moto Z2 as s work phone
    • On the positive I adore how simple this phone is
    • The camera is good enough, not as good as the s7 edge I
    • I really liked this phone its worked great for 2 weeks now the screen doesn't turn on
    • I didn't like the small body, though, as I like the way my Nexus fits in my hands

    • Crosschecked the USB-C to UCB-C cable and (AUT) power adapter, all working fine
    • They include a great charger and USB-C to headphone cable
    • I do wish it had a dedicated headphone jack but the included USB-C adapter works well enough and seems to be of high quality
    • 845 chipset(c) Worst complaint is on the lack of headphone.
    • My Bose QC25 headphones do not work properly with the USB-C/3.5mm adapter
    • No headphone jack (I love USB-C)
    • Every time the phone is plugged in to the charger, any charger, I have several different usb-c chargers, slow, fast, standard usb, doesn't matter, it will not charge
