Simiply put, for the same price as a bookshelf, I was able to square away my office needs (computer, scanner, printer, external drives) in one spot and free up my other desk for reading, writing, etc

there are no assembly instructions in the box, this is NOT a good desk for a table top computer, better suited for laptop or small all-in-one computer.
