Well made, quick to autofocus, sharp and much better than average bokeh.
Great all around lens, sharp even wide open and good bokeh
Gorgeous creamy bokeh for such an unassuming little lens
for a 35mm focal length, it has beautiful bokeh thanks to the wide f/2 aperture
The bokeh is lovely and even at f2 aperture pictures are unbelievably sharp and I'm attaching some pictures that I clicked using this lens with my Fujifilm X-T1
Fuji lens are extremely well built and of good quality, so is this one
It has a very solid build and the finish is smooth and feels amazing
My only complaint is that Fujinon lenses have a plastic "cheapness" to them, compared to say Zeiss or Leica, but for the size and prize the optical quality is very impressive, I just wish the build was a bit nicer
I appreciate the lens's small size (it's not a pancake, but it's still smaller than most other Fujinon lenses), solid build (the aperture ring has much better haptics than my other Fujinon lenses), and quiet, confident autofocus (very little hunting)
Extremely well built with beautiful bokeh and image clarity.
I love the compact size of everything in the Fuji line and this lens is no exception
The size and weight make it easy to store and to carry around.
The lens is a great size for traveling and the fast autofocus is reliable
So don't fool yourself into thinking that there are significant weight and size reductions like you'd see in a pancake lens, because there really aren't.
A perfect size to compliment the compact sized Fuji cameras
You are reading snippets from reviews of Fujinon XF35mmF2 R WR - Silver
The lens is a great size for traveling and the fast autofocus is reliable
It's compact and lightweight, has a durable metal construction, it'sweather sealed, sharp as a tac with creamy bokeh at f/2, silent, fast, and accurate autofocus, and is half the cost of its f/1.4 cousin that lacks in almost everything I just mentioned
An absolutely superb lens, razor sharp, super fast autofocus, very light and compact
I have played with my friend's 35mm f/1.4 and there is no doubt that it is an amazing lens, but this f/2 version blows it out of the water in terms of focus speed and almost no audible noise
The autofocus is basically silent and the lens is very solid
Stopping down seems to help, but it is nowhere near as sharp as the 35mm f/1.4
After using the Fuji 35mm f/1.4 for several months on an XT-1, and marveling at its' sharpness, clarity, and image rendition (albeit not super-fast AF), I was excited to try the newer, Weather-Resistant f/2 version
it's not sharp as 35mm 1.4 at same aperture of 2.0 2
I never thought my 23mm was all that hefty, but the 35mm F2 is easily half the overall mass
I love the square metal hood for the 35mm f1.4 and the 18mm f/2, and I wish they continued that trend with all their lenses.
The other primes are near $1000 each and take phenomenal photos but they have their very specific place and get babies quite a bit more
I seldom use it wide open, except in the dark, but can testify that from f/2.8 on, photos are sharp and clear.
I used this lens on a baby shoot making use of the close focusing distance and got wonderfully sharp photos with pleasing background separation, my client was excited to see the results! The pairing of affordability with extremely high quality make this a must-have first prime lens for every Fuji X user wanting to upgrade from the kit zooms.
It doesn't affect the photos, but knowing it's there just annoys me.
The photos I'm getting are excellent, or at least as good as I'm capable of making
It's compact and lightweight, has a durable metal construction, it'sweather sealed, sharp as a tac with creamy bokeh at f/2, silent, fast, and accurate autofocus, and is half the cost of its f/1.4 cousin that lacks in almost everything I just mentioned
So, it seems that Fuji not only takes pride in manufacturing great equipment, but they take care of the customers after the sale
So, if I'm going to desert my first love anyway, the Fuji 35mm F/2 gives me the best of both worlds: a 35mm "normal" frame, with the finest image quality I've ever known
Seems like Fuji would be shooting themselves in the foot by pricing such an excellent (and pro-level) lens at such a reasonable price point.

Not quite as sharp as the original XF35mm F1.4, but faster and more compact.
I love my X100T as well - this gives me a two camera solution for 35mm and 50mm street photography.
while 35 F2 focuses faster in good light, for some strange reason (and that has been confirmed by many reviews) with its all new fancy AF motor, it slows down and really has hard time focusing in low light.
It is the perfect compliment to his X-T10, small and lightweight, and light is very good for this shooter
That can affect you when you are shooting in poor lighting at low ISO.
Its fast, small, light, and just right for framing every day shots - not too wide, not too tight, just perfect
Amazing Clarity, ultra fast focusing and great low light performance with minimal noise
I don't like motorized manual focus, and I hate the lack of a depth of field scale on a prime lens of this quality.
The only difference between this mode and CF mode is when you half press the shutter button it will beep when focus is confirmed as opposed to CF mode that there is no beeping
