When I do have to send document to the Microsoft world (like my credit union) that likely isn't set up to read DjVu files I use the djview4 viewer (also in the Ubuntu software center) to open the document then save it as a pdf

On the plus side, it is easy to unjam the paper, whereas with my Canon all-in-one, you can destroy precious documents if they are stuck in the feed

Having Evernote perform the OCR means that the Fujitsu scanner doesn't slow down at all and my documents are easy to search because of the OCR
