Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Instant PDF Sheet-Fed Scanner for PC

    • Good job, Canon!
    • I find the scan to WORD does a good job recognizing text, however sometimes has issues with format - documents where pictures are scattered in the text
    • The business card app does an amazing job of extracting data from all kinds of odd business card layouts... but it can't handle inverse text (white on a dark background) at all.
    • I've tried a few and it did a great job as expected.
    • Sure, it's a real pain when you have a massive scan job, then again, why do you have a big scan job instead of splitting it into different piles
    • With this setting, if you have a jammed page you don't automatically end the scan job while you unjam the machine, you just clear the jam and hit the button to continue
    • It does a very good job of recognizing the data on the cards.
    • It did a respectable job with the photos at 300 dpi, but with the plain documents, it is just brilliant.
    • Does a great job, great product that is easy to use and a real time saver in the home or office.
    • If you have a jam, the scanning program asks you if you fixed it and want to continue as is, or if you want to scrap the scan job and restart.
    • I found the Adobe software did a better job with that, but of course that requires you to take extra steps after scanning
    • it handles documents very easily and even does a nice job with photos you don't need scanned at a high resolution- even scans in color
    • Fast and reasonably compact, does a very good job and fast scanning pages
    • Soooo stoked!!Great job, Fujitsu!!
    • Otherwise, it may jam due to thickness of blobs but fortunately this scanner does a good job the second time through so long as you clear off the offending matter before putting through the sheet again
    • It does a great job on scans of documents such as receipts, letters, etc
    • The Fujitsu scanner works quickly and and does a very good job
    • , I haven't yet tried to scan photos; I suspect that this scanner will do a good job but that another type of scanner would probably do better for
    • They do a great job and do it quickly!
    • It does a great job in copying your documents, Is harder to organize files than I expected.
    • Does an excellent job on documents with content on both sides.
    • and they did a wonderful job of correcting it
    • Does an adequate job at photo's however if high quality photo's scans were needed, I would look elsewhere.
    • But asides from that, and they do a pretty good job of making file naming easy, the S1500 just rips through your papers into PDFs
    • When it Jams you need to cancel and start over (and it requires using adobe standard to remove the bad scans or merge the successful scan jobs
    • On the other hand, it did an excellent job of recognizing a challenging older typeface in a facsimile edition of Jules Verne's Adrift in the Pacific: Two Years Holiday
    • It does a great job with business cards and identification as well.
    • It does a wonderful t job of just being simple and functional
    • And it does a beautiful job.
    • it did a fine job, but in purchasing a product specific to scanning, the improvement is huge!
    • It does such a great job of scanning.
    • The included software does the job well enough, but a scanner at this price range should not be restricted to proprietary software
    • It does a great job of eliminating blank pages and it can even split stacks of pages into many documents, but it *can't* split them up by original input sheets (unless you set it to leave in blank pages and split into 2-page documents)
    • Does a great job of converting scan to Word
    • It parses and performs OCR on the documents quickly and does an excellent job of getting all the words
    • It does a great job of eliminating blank pages and it can even split stacks of pages into many documents, but it *can't* split them up by original input sheets (unless you set it to leave in blank pages and split into 2-page documents)
    • You can scan paper and have it automatically converted to MS word and it does such a great job at creating PDFs
    • The ScanSnap organizer does a great job itself.
    • it does a great job of just being simple and
    • This machine scans circles around my old Brother machine (I now use a cheap B&W printer for my printing needs). My only two quibbles about the scanner are the lack of a flat bed (for smaller documents, receipts, etc) and the cost, but if you can afford it, get this scanner!
