Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Instant PDF Sheet-Fed Scanner for PC

    • It easily takes a stack of 50 pages and feeds them without double feeds or paper jams.
    • The other thing to be aware of is that if the paper jams, the ScanSnap often deletes not only the page that jammed, but the page before that one as well.
    • Only negative is when you are scanning multiple sheets at one time sometimes the paper jams but its easily fixed
    • Also very easy to fix a paper jam (takes 5 seconds and off you go
    • Occasional paper jams do happen especially when scanning documents made of very thin material or when documents are not properly aligned on both sides
    • You will clear literally dozens, possibly hundreds of paper jams for each box of old files that you wanted to scan.
    • If you don't edit that ofter or much, it's Not that much of an issue.- Paper jams will occur so you can't just blame This particular model
    • Many sequential pages that were folded/creased in the same manner (bi or trifold) will increase the likelihood of a paper jam
    • It is very fast and I rarely have issues with paper jams or pulling more than one sheet at a time
    • I've not had any problems with paper jams other than for old papers with torn edges
    • (not that youd want to!))The paper jamming seems to be a problem and overloading snapscan creates a messy paper jam that requires force to fix
    • This rarely happened, although I occasionally ran into paper jams / double feeding with casebooks that had very thin paper.
    • I will make this short.first week of use - no problem and few paper jams which was ok.second week of use - more paper jams showing and died (Win7 don't see the scanner anymore but the scanner has power)Win7 sucks or the scanner
    • My only other pet peeve is that I wish there were was a way to occasionally disable the automatic paper jam detection, and/or a better way to tell the software that it's ok
    • If you don't edit that ofter or much, it's Not that much of an issue.- Paper jams will occur so you can't just blame This particular model
    • It is so, so frustrating to have to deal with 2 sheets being fed at a time and seeing "paper jam!" when there SHOULDN'T be a jam
    • (not that youd want to!))The paper jamming seems to be a problem and overloading snapscan creates a messy paper jam that requires force to fix
    • That said, paper jams usually occur right away or not at all
    • Compact, fast, user-friendly, easy to clear paper jams, we are clearing out our filing cabinet in record time.
    • Since that time I have used it almost daily to scan and e-mail documents - both one-sided and two-sided - and have never encountered any problems except for the occasional paper jam if the paper is too thick or the pages are stuck together.
    • The Scansnap S1500 scans both side at once very quickly and the software bundled with it is excellant, however if you are going to purchase one to scan your magazines as PDF files as I did, be aware that if the magazine you are scanning has very thin paper you will get multiple paper jams
    • It's fast, easy to use, and seldom do I have paper jams.
    • Although I wouldn't call it an intuitive device (it doesn't work as you think it does - you have to read the manual!), it's a great scanner.
    • We bought this product for my small business to remove all the paper from the office and its really working as it scans very fax and with excellent quality.
    • Small footprint too - really fast, quiet and doesn't hog resources on the PC and the software works as it is designed.
    • They never returned calls or made update contact as they promised
    • The integration of the control panel and filer application isn't as clean as it ought to be.
    • Software instantly crashed my computer as of today computer does not act right
