Garmin Speak Plus with Amazon Alexa and Built-in Dash Cam, What You Love About Amazon Alexa— Now in Your car with Dash Camera looping Video and Memory Card, 010-01862-00

    • The idea is good but to rely on your cellphone's data (or lack thereof in some areas) makes room for more improvement in the future.
    • I love the idea of having Alexa functionality in my car
    • The "magnetic" mount is a great idea, and makes it convenient to unplug and remove when you're leaving the car or transferring between vehicles.- The dependency on the included Garmin adapter for aux out is poorly thought out.
    • The idea is interesting, but the execution fails so completely I couldn't even see if it could work
    • Good idea, bad product
    • I really like the idea
    • It sounds like such a neat idea on paper, but it just fell flat
    • great idea, concept.
    • , I love the hardware and the idea of getting Alexa in my car without bolting something onto my phone.
    • I have no idea whose device I tapped into, but I now worry about who might have access to the videos my Garmin is taking
    • Wait for Version 2 -- the basic idea is fine but there are so many bugs -- see the other one star reviews for details -- that I gave up
    • I love the idea of having Alexa in my car, but I think the implementation on this Garmin Speak may be too-early, or too-limited for me to fully enjoy all that Alexa can be in my car.
    • The unit is pretty small and the idea of a dashcam with Alexa features was exciting enough to take a chance, but I feel like I'm beta testing a product
    • Overall, I think this is a great idea.
    • So Alexa in the car is an awesome idea
    • This is a cool idea, but leave it to Garmin to release a product that is half finished
    • It is a work in progress, but I love the idea of integrating the road with home
    • Great idea
    • Great idea .This is not a hands free device
    • Love the idea to have Alexa in the car but not much skills you can really use with it
    • I don't know if I will keep it yet because, while it usually works well enough and I love the idea of having Alexa in my truck, I worry now about who is seeing the videos it records.
    • My car, a well cared for, excellent in all other aspects Honda Element has an aging head unit... while it does have an aux port, I often find myself glancing at my phone and that just doesn't seem like a good idea regarding safety
    • I pre-ordered this because I think it is a great idea
    • Alexa integration in the car was a brilliant idea, and I've gotta say, Garmin executed it well

    • The idea for this product is great, however, my disappoint began before I even powered it up.
    • What you love about Amazon Alexa - now in your vehicle, 010-01862-00This looked like a cool idea as I use Alexa for many smart home devices
    • I don't like the idea of sticking the built-in (one piece construction) mount directly on to my front window for several reasons
    • No alternative routes or avoide toll roads as option providedNo backup battery to save connection if you stop the engine even for a secondTecnical problem with steady connection, ones I passed the turn that was light up in green color for 15 min with 400 feet right turn sighn until I unplugged device and reboot itI love an idea, but Amazon don’t have to allow this products to be sold until this baby problems will be resolved
    • I think it's a good idea but after returning mine for the second time I think I'll wait until they work the bugs out.
    • It is a great idea with promise, but for now is lacking as a finished product
    • Good idea but bad execution.
    • The bad - I asked to navigate to an address and said I had to manually input it in the Speak app
    • It's tiny, which I love as it doesn't take up a bunch of room on my windshield.
    • When I saw this product online, it appealed to me as it was a navigation aide and the screen was simple.
    • She didn't seem to work as we had hoped.
    • That does indeed work as I'd hoped--the iPhone/Speak Bluetooth connection so far seems to be rock solid
    • Nothing works as it's supposed to and nothing like Alexa at all
    • Worth about $50 in value, maybe $100 tops if it worked as it should.
    • It's unfortunate as it means I cannot count on it as a navigation device during times when I would need it.
