The result--I can't safely place food on the grill without risking having the top grill plate fall down onto my knuckles

I like it much more than the larger version I purchased last year mainly because it is easier to clean than the ceramic coating on the larger version and the plates are easier to remove and install.

We tested the first one out for a month before he left and the top plate would pop off when he shut the lid to cook the meat.
