The set shows all available Basic-level digital cable channels and receives more channels than our digital decoder box when hooked to our roof-top antenna.

To set up both tuner modes, connect it to a good antenna, put the TV into AIR mode and run a scan the OTA channels

Dont expect the best reception cause it doesnt have a great antenna

Remember, I'm talking about the PHYSICAL channel number, not the virtual number they insist to use, which in most cases, is NOT the same!Hooking this up to an decent outdoor antenna under known conditions, this tuner receives as good as most any other TV

but hooked to a great antenna you get alot for your money...excellent screen and color

That little rod antenna picked up only one station and the roof top antenna got 18.

On occasions it does have a distorted picture, however it can be easily corrected by repositioning the antenna.

The antenna the TV comes with is 100% worthless.

The antennae it comes with is useless

I definitely recommend purchasing a better portable antenna as the included antenna is pretty much worthless

It does well when connected to a roof top antenna.
