My only "complaint" is the toner is not cheap to replace.

It is most likely a bad cyan toner cartridge.

Toner is expensive but in long run, probably the same as ink

Kind of pricey replacement toner

Although the toners are not cheap, you get what you pay for.

There is no way to force print even when toners are pretty much gone, like some of the other HP laser printers (and from other manufacturers as well)

I have followed the procedures on the HP web site and the conclusion is a bad toner cartridge.
