Since I had bought a spare (I had an important print job, could not risk), I just went ahead and tried using the spare black cartridge

The prints aren't unclear at all but they just don't have that burnt-in chiseled look.

It’s slow and it uses a three ink, all in one cartridge which makes for expensive printing.

So, bottom line: nice design, prints well, doesn’t hold much paper so needs refilled frequently, and is slower than printers I’ve previously used.

so I would be cautious about committing to that - read the fine print before making a choice

but I have printed colored shipping labels and designed thank you cards that turned out great on the first try
