I’ve bought plenty of other portable DVD players in the past, and they have inevitably broken or stopped working

It looks like I can control both units with the same remote by just pointing it at the unit I want to change, I won't have to use both remotes!!I spent considerable time researching the portable DVD players before my purchase.

I found that it isn't as loud as my region 1 portable dvd player.

After reading the good reviews, I decided on this and did not test it out before the journey, and lo & behold, the worst that could happen happened - I was given a defective DVD player!(a) the head of the car charger is broken so that I could not charge the DVD player in the car.(b) there is no user manual to tell me what the different buttons on the DVD player & the remote control do (!
