Overall summary: This monitor is simply stunning; your eyes can notice the HDR as well
-
HDR Effect" feels like my eyes are getting attacked by a box of crayons, it not bright enough and it doesn't have local dimming so steer away from this if you want True HDR
-
So the LG is a sight for sore eyes, so to speak
-
The brightness also hurt my eyes (during the day) so I turned that way
-
Eye strain etc
-
as for picture quality and brightness it hurt my eyes to look at.
-
It physically hurt my eyes to look at it.
-
Coming from a Dell U2312hm, IPS ( I know its a little old) I can tell you that this monitor will blow your eyes, images are crisp, colors are amazing and my gaming experience has been excellent
-
The Viotek text isn't as smooth and honestly hurts my eyes, the viewing angle is noticeably lesser than the LG, its just too grainy as well
-
If you pay about hundred bucks more, you'll get a built-in USB hub and a nano IPS display of this monitor, which you may not notice a difference unless you have a very good eyes
-
HDR Effect" feels like my eyes are getting attacked by a box of crayons, it not bright enough and it doesn't have local dimming so steer away from this if you want True HDR
-
The MSI 24.5 was clear but too crisp, almost hurting your eyes when looking at edges, great
-
but I didn't find it much of an improvement over my old monitor and afterwards my eyes felt really strained.
